Cultivation

$65.00

12×18 inches
Linoleum Block Print on Rice Paper

Please note that each piece is individually printed by hand, meaning there will be natural, beautiful variations — assuring that you receive a truly one-of-a-kind piece of art, made with love in Jordan’s studio in Portland, Maine.

Belonging; From Sand to Soil
For this carving, I wanted to incorporate the many beautiful types of edible nourishment that are cultivated from our rugged coasts all the way inland to our farms. The theme of "Belonging," really resonates with me and is something that especially hits home for me as a multi racial person. The hands encompassing all of these different ecosystems are not only an example of our role within the food system, but a reminder that we have a responsibility to the health of our planet and our communities.

This hand printed linoleum carving was commissioned by Farm to Institution New England and was the visual identity for the 2025 Summit in Portland, Maine.

The Northeast Farm to Institution Summit strengthens the regional food system by celebrating and supporting the role of institutions as anchors in the region.
